INSO is looking for a Training Officer INSO is an international non-governmental, non-profit organisation. Our mission is to support the humanitarian community with information, analysis and advice that enhances situational awareness, supports informed decision-making, strengthens operational practice and enables humanitarian access. Location: Gaziantep, Turkey Scope of the Position Under the supervision of the Deputy Director, the successful candidate will focus on facilitating INSO’s training programme. Tasks will include conducting a training-needs analysis, developing a training curriculum, facilitating and conducting high quality trainings and providing pre- and post-mentoring support to NGOs. Key Objectives • Help develop INSO Syria strategic training plan through needs assessment and development of training curriculums • With the Deputy Director, and the contracted organisation, develop the course designs. • Organise INSO training courses in line with INSO Syria strategic training plan • Co-facilitate training courses and deliver classroom inputs and manage live practical scenarios. • Monitor & evaluate of training delivery and impact • Provide logistic support for trainings in collaboration with Administration Department Mandatary Requirements: • Experience in providing Security/Safety training services or proven experience in conducting trainings/presentations in NGO settings • Experience with an NGO in a position dealing with safety/security responsibilities (Security Focal Point experience is a strong advantage.) • Solid understanding of Humanitarian Principles and NGO operations in conflict zones • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Fluent in English and Arabic (working languages) • Thorough understanding of the contextual security environment in Syria • Syrian national with valid passport and a valid residency permit in Turkey (or at least be eligible to obtain one) Preferred Characteristics: • Sound knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet. • Ability to think creatively in terms of tool and process development • Be systematic, proactive, innovative, self-motivated and detail oriented. • Diplomatic and friendly character with a good sense of humour • An academic background with at least a relevant Bachelor Degree • Basic commend of Turkish language • Security/safety training course attendance The vacancy will be open till the 11th of September.
